I’m glad this blog doesn’t post times or my mom would tell me I shouldn’t be up so late. But since my husband wore shorts under his jeans today because he was out of clean underwear (oops, did I just share that with everyone?), I had to do a little catching up with housework today. Thank goodness for 4-hour long naps.
On Friday, my parents came up for the day, and it was wonderful. Daddy watched Emma while Mom and I cleaned out a bunch of stuff to take to Goodwill. We really had to twist his arm to watch her, but he finally conceded. Then, Mom took over while Daddy and I took the load to Goodwill and picked up lunch. After lunch, Mom babysat while I hung some pictures and Daddy hung our new chandelier in the dining room. When Ken got home, I made them move some furniture, because I am constantly changing things around.
So without further ado … some before & after photos.

I still need to recover the dining room chairs, but I’m waiting for a sale at Hancock Fabrics to get upholstery fabric.
So I had Ken and Daddy move Ken’s grandmother’s old china cabinet out of the breakfast nook into the front room, which I call the “fancy room” since no one ever uses it.

Not sure about the coat rack placement – I think I’ll do a board with coat and key hooks below the white board. Also need candles to go in the sconces.
Once they moved the china cabinet in the front room, I had to rearrange the furniture and rehang pictures.

And some cute photos of my mom (Bo) and Emma:

Oh yes, Emma’s hair always looks like that. Lucky girl inherited her daddy’s and grandfather’s cowlick.
