I know that I’m completely jinxing myself here, but here’s last night and today’s schedule …
Ken had tennis last night, so I took Emma for a walk, gave her a bath, and fed her. (All by myself, thankyouverymuch) When Ken got home, she was just finishing up her bottle, so he took her into our room and let her lay on the bed with him for a little bit. She did a #2 (yeah, you wanted to know that!) so after I changed her, he rocked her to sleep and had her down around 10pm.
We made a bet on when she would wake up – I said 2:30, he said 3:30. We were both wrong.
That little booger slept 7 hours!!! Until 5:00am!
The downside is that she was awake from 5:30 until 8:00, but she spent about an hour of that in her crib watching her mobile while we slept. She’s easily amused, thank goodness.
So then she slept from 8am – 10am. In her crib! She woke up and ate, and then we played for about an hour. Around noon, she got a little fussy, so I fed her, but she fell asleep while eating. Unfortunately, I had to wake her up at 12:30 to go meet Ken for lunch — but she was awake and happy the whole time.
On the way home, she fell back asleep and slept through our grocery trip, and she’s been napping (again, in her crib) for over 2 hours now.
I almost don’t know what to do with myself!! The good news is that I’m almost done uploading all of the pictures from Georgia and Charleston.
They say that if your baby is colicky, they usually start to come out of it around 8 weeks. She’s not colicky at all and has been a dream baby, but she is 8 weeks today, so maybe she’s just starting to really “get it” as far as sleeping/eating schedules? Ask me tomorrow.
