It’s four days before Emma’s first birthday, and she’s sick.

Luckily, it’s just a little cold, but the poor thing is so stuffed up she can’t drink her ba-ba. :( Ken is on a mission tonight to find her these sippy cups so that we can finally get her drinking out of a sippy regularly. I’ve heard that these are the best, and the other 3 kinds we’ve tried just aren’t cutting it.
Currently, we’re propping her up so she can drink her ba-ba – and of course she has her constant t-shirt* by her side.

* Have I posted about the t-shirt? At a moment of despair when we were trying that whole letting-her-cry-at-night thing [which didn't work for us, and we'll just keep doing what we're doing thankyouverymuch] I gave her my t-shirt to sleep with. Ever since then, she can’t go to sleep without it. I rotate them out all the time, meaning I wear one to bed and then let her have that one the following day, and so forth – so she’s not sleeping with the same one, but it’s pretty funny.

Poor, sweet girl. I hope Emma gets well soon! Hugs to her! And, those cups are easily obtainable at Target. There were in our repertoire of sippies with one of my kiddos. It’s hard finding one they like, isn’t it?
Get well soon, Emma. Emma is loving the “smell” of her Mommie close to her so don’t worry about rotating them out. Bo
Mom, I meant that I rotate them out for another t-shirt that I’ve been wearing. I usually wear one to bed and then let her have that one the whole next day and night. And so forth and so on. :)
Ava had those sippy cups. Those are pretty good ones. They can’t bite through the lid. Ava bit through the lid of all the bottles we had and all the latex sippy cups. So I guess we will have to buy new ones for Raquel.
Keli,
Hope Emma gets better before her big day! My son really likes the Nuby style sippy cups. They have a nipple similar to a bottle but require a suction motion to operate. They don’t spill super easily, the have only the lid and the cup (some brands have valves yo have to handwash seperately) and they’re so cheap @ Wal-Mart. Have you tried them yet?
