Ken has challenged me to post once a day. I don’t know for how long – I guess until he tells me to stop. I think he’s tired of posting. As are we all.
Just kidding, honey.
Not really
So I will post today with some pictures of stuff I’ve made for Emma recently. I tend to work my little fingers to the bone, but I try to find some time here and there to sew things for her.
First up, her first birthday party dress …

I used Simplicity 3808 with some minor changes. It ended up a wee bit big, but no one noticed.

I also made her a shirt out of some old scrap fabric that I had laying around. ;)

This one’s a little small, but I figured out that I printed the pattern wrong. I had the printer set to “fit to page” or something, and it shrunk it down. But now I have a smaller pattern!
She obviously needs some shorts or pants to match, but I thought it turned out really cute, although it’s a bit tight. Now, I’ve just got to get some REAL fabric (ahem, GO DAWGS!) to make her a REAL shirt now that I know how this one fits.

Oh my- that Gamecocks shirt is WAY too small- it even looks uncomfortable and could pose some health risks to that lil’ baby girl. I think you should throw it away.
Translation:
GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!! Sic’ em!! Woof! Woof!
Is that baby walking? It sure looks like it. The way to fix that shirt so it will fit is to soak it in “chicken stock” then give it to your dogs. I know it sounds stupid but it will work, trust your mom. Don’t forget your Mom and sister-in-law and the bags you make.
