This week is International Babywearing Week, and I was just thinking about when Emma was little and wearable. I can still wear her, but she would rather walk, so it’s just not as much fun.
So here’s a walk through our babywearing days …
1 week old in an Urban Baby pouch

2 weeks old in a Moby wrap

1 month old in the Moby wrap

just over a month old in a fleece Peanut Shell pouch (this was one of our favorites!)

some days, she would really konk out

8 weeks old in the Gypsy Mama Bali Breeze Wrap – looooooved this in the summer months

in Charleston, SC

hiking in the Ergo

in Charleston, SC again for a tennis tournament

2 days before her first birthday — she was sick, and I was working

in the Beco Butterfly (I sold the Ergo to fund this, and I am SO happy with it!!)

I’m not sure what I’ll do for future baby #2. I think I would like to try a ring sling, but I did love my Moby wrap so much. I’ve always heard that ring slings are MUCH easier, though.
Anyway, happy babywearing week!

I am stealing this idea for my blog.
With #1 I only had a ring sling. With #2 (who’s now 6 months) I have a little bit of everything. Ring slings are so much easier, but I much preferred a wrap for the newborn stage.
It was fun when Emma would let you carry her. Now she wants to be on the ground and moving.
I did pouches exclusively for Ben, but I’m totally getting a Moby for #2, and, once I rescue the Ergo from SIL, will trade it in for a Beco, as the Ergo was just to bulky for shorty pants me.
What are you specific thoughts on the Beco?
