1| I’ve never been really good at replying to my blog replies, because I don’t like mass replies. But then I noticed that one of my most favoritest bloggers, Secret Agent Josephine, edits a comment with her reply. So I’m totally stealing the idea from her. And now I’ll be able to reply to those of you who respond. Thanks, SAJ!

2| I think I’ve convinced Ken to let me move my work area downstairs.

me: hey, hon. when you’re in a really good mood and totally stress-free, can you read my blog post?
him: i already read it. and it does not put me in a good mood.

But I think he knows how frazzled I am every other day, because I don’t know what’s going on in our lives, so he’s willing to make ONE MORE MOVE to make me happy. Gotta love him.

Plus, I’m going to totally convince him with this picture.

See, honey! Emma likes playing on the computer, and we need one down here!

I am totally not above bribing him with his princess.

3| Speaking of pictures (how about that segue!) – are you following my Project365? Did you even know I’m doing Project365? Do you even care? Well, if you do … I’m taking/posting one picture a day for a year, and it’s been really fun so far! I’ve gotta admit, it keeps me busy and creative. Okay, I haven’t really had to be creative, yet, but I am making lists of things to take pictures of. [Ack, I know you're not supposed to end a sentence with a preposition, but I don't feel like changing it.] You can either bookmark it or just click the little picture over there on the left if you want to follow along with me (and Emma). :)

4| I made cinnamon & raisin bread this morning — um, I even got up at 5:15 to go put the raisins in the machine. But it did not turn out that well. So if you have a recipe for a yummy cinnamon & raisin bread [for a bread machine] and preferably non-yeasty, please please share!!

I think that’s it for today. I may have had one more item, but I don’t like odd numbers, so it can wait for another day.

* I pronounce “ketchup” like “catch-up” … just a little play on words today

Here Aunt Keli, I found this online. Terri’s Cinnamon Raisin Bread (Bread Machine) Recipe #234877
I changed the recipe from a bread machine recipe book I have to make it a little healthier and taste a little better for the kids. This makes one EXTRA LARGE loaf. This bread is GREAT with honey, or toasted and add peanut butter, or for peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Also, makes a good dessert when toasted, buttered, and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar! Try this sometime for breakfast when you are making french toast!!! :) Mmmmmmm….

4ΒΌ hours | 15 min prep

SERVES 20 -24 , 1 Extra Large Loaf

1 1/3 cups warm water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/3 cup Splenda sugar substitute
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 cup whole wheat flour
3 cups unbleached bread flour
3 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons salt
3 teaspoons yeast
1 1/2 cups raisins (approximately)
2/3 cup bread flour (approximately)
In a small sauce pan bring about 3/4 cup water to a boil.
Add 1 cup of raisins to the boiling water and remove from heat.
Give the raisins and water a stir and then set them aside until they are room temperature.
Add all ingredients except for raisins to your bread machine in the order specified by the manufacturer. My machine calls for wet ingredients first, but I had another that called for dry ingredients first.
Set your bread machine for the appropriate size loaf on the wheat setting. Begin cycle.
Drain the room temperature rehydrated raisins and measure them, add enough dried raisins to make 2 cups total if you are making the extra large loaf.
When your bread machine has a good ball of dough circulating for a while, dump in your raisins. Watch carefully and add flour as needed until a good ball of dough is once again circulating.
When your bread is finished baking let it cool completely before slicing.

kh says: So when are you going to come over and help me bake it, Somer? ;)

Can’t wait to see the new space. Good luck with the move. Emma does look cute on the computer and I do like what you did with the comments, but sometimes I wonder if people go back to the comments to read answers.

kh says: they probably don’t, but at least I’ll feel better for responding. LOL! I’m very excited about the new setup – I think it will work out great, actually!
