I messed up my posting every day for a month yesterday. I didn’t want to fully commit to NaBloPoMo, because then I’d get writer’s block every other day, but I was secretly trying for it. Oh well. I had good reason.

25/365 {sick day}

I thought I was coming down with whatever Emma and Ken have, because I felt like carp yesterday, but then this morning, I woke up feeling fine. So it must have just blown over me. Phew.

Emma is still congested, and she starts wheezing whenever she gets too worked up. And since she’s still on steroids once a day until we “wean” her off of them, she has about 2 hours every evening when she is completely crazy. But she hasn’t been coughing at night anymore — I just wish we could get rid of the congestion.

Well, we spent a lazy weekend at home, and you know what that means. Piles of dishes, loads of laundry, and piles of clutter everywhere. Better get to work.

I’ll leave you with more pics of our girl — although the girl in these pictures? All me. :)

Glad that you missed out on the sickies. That would have been no fun.

Love your photo of the moment. What treatment did you do to it to get that vintage look and how do you do your watermark? Is it easy for novices?

Jen: Thanks! I used the cross processing treatment and rounded borders. The watermark is really easy — but I do it in Photoshop. Do you have Photoshop?

I just used WordArt in Word and made one that was a circle, and then copied and pasted it into Photoshop. Then, I used the “multiply” blending mode to make it transparent and then dragged it onto my image. I change the opacity to suit.

Chad: You are such a smartbass.

Thanks. I have photoshop but don’t even know where to start. I’ve been doing all my photo editing in picnik. Kind of hard to teach an old dawg (watching too much American Idol) new tricks. I’d love to be able to use photoshop though…just don’t really have the time.

Am I in the middle of some family thing? ;)
