good day

Today was a good day.

soft blooms

Emma took a late nap, so when she woke up, we took a nice little walk around the neighborhood and then we ran a plate of supper out to Ken while he was teaching and then did a little shopping, which is unusual these days.

I picked up a beautiful binder (on clearance) at Target for my future home management notebook as well as 3 beautiful laundry hampers to spruce up our bedroom laundry corner. They are Target’s Home brand, but I can’t find them on Target.com — how is that!? I’ll get pics tomorrow.

We got home around 8:30, and she asked to go to bed as soon as we walked through the door.

It doesn’t get much easier than that!

The only downside of today is that my computer is on the fritz. I’m not sure if it has something to do with the fact that it’s over 4 years old or that I’m the queen of multi-tasking 924 things at a time on this poor thing or the fact that I run seriously heavy programs every single day … but it’s pooping out on me. Ken thinks I may have gotten a lightning strike or surge sometime in the past few months, because half of my USB ports don’t work, the CD drive is wonky, and it runs hot all the time. And since I just moved it downstairs where I have to use a wireless network USB thing, my internet is flaky.

On top of that, WordPress is just not being very friendly to me anymore …

  1. I can’t save drafts when I’m writing posts. So when I write a nice long post and my internet flakes out, I lose it. You’d THINK that I’d save all of my posts in notepad or something, but I just don’t catch on.
  2. My “link” button isn’t working, so when I highlight something and insert a link, nothing happens. I know html code, so this isn’t a big deal, but it’s a shortcut that I really miss. Plus, IT USED TO WORK!
  3. I’m not getting comments in my email anymore. Just a small inconvenience because I can see them in my WP Dashboard, but I don’t want to have to log in to see them.

Anyway, we have a newer/faster/nicer desktop upstairs that is currently acting as our server … Ken said I could have it, and he’ll move this one up there. Now I have to re-install all of my programs and learn how to use Vista.

:::sigh:::
