i got diaper-rhea!

E’s latest saying … ’nuff said. It’s just a side-effect of her antibiotic, and she’s ended up with a rash from it, so I have her in disposables while I slather on the diaper rash cream. But she leaks out of every single diaper. *bangsheadonwall* I miss cloth.

In other news, she turned 2 on Saturday. I had full intentions of blogging, but we were going all day Saturday and then all day Sunday. And then yesterday got away from me, too.

We had a great time! She wanted a zoo theme, and we did the best we could. I ended up pulling my trapezius (the big neck muscle on the side) on Wednesday of last week, so I was kind of out of it for a couple of days.

She doesn’t like cake/cupcakes, so we got her an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins, and it was so YUMMY!

We also did various animal food snacks:
goldfish = bear
nutter butter (peanuts) = elephants
chocolate-covered bananas = monkeys
potato sticks (straw) = zebras

And green jungle punch. Okay, so it felt like we were at a wedding shower, but it was really yummy. And green.

Almost all of our families were able to be here, so that was really nice. She also had a visit from her little neighborhood & preschool friend w/ his parents.

The hit of the party was the little bounce house that my parents brought for Emma :: I didn’t get hardly any pictures, because I was busy running around and talking. As usual.

Overall, a very fun day. We are very thankful for friends and family who drove all the way to be here with Emma.

You may notice something different in a few of those pictures … hardwood in the living room!! Can I just get a WOOHOO!?!? I’ve been waiting 3 years to get this done, and it has made a HUGE difference in our lives — our allergies aren’t nearly as bad, and it makes our living room look so much bigger. I’ll do a separate post with pictures tomorrow, but I just had to point it out … I am SO thrilled!
