i ♥ faces :: sweet dreams

Oh man, I LOVE taking photos of Emma sleeping. But I don’t have very many because she has to have it completely dark to get a decent sleep. And she’s also a light sleeper, so it’s rare that I even TRY to take a picture of her sleeping.

Seriously, I relish every single second of naps now that she’s 2 1/2 years old, because they are fleeting.

As I am writing this post, she is upstairs in her room. I *think* she’s napping. I’m whispering right now … can you tell?

Anyway, this has got to be my most favorite sleeping picture of her – and not just because I’m in it. If you’ve read this post over at I ♥ Faces, then you’ve seen this picture. But I love it so much, I’m going to post it again. The good thing is that once you enter a photo once in the I ♥ Faces contests, you can’t use it any more, so you’ll probably never see it ever again. ;)

I think I love it so much because it’s totally us. Me constantly telling the dogs (& hubby) to ’shhhhhhh’ while she’s sleeping because I relish, love, need, crave those naps.

And really, there’s nothing quite as beautiful as a child sleeping peacefully …
