The "funny" thing about living in the south is that you don’t really get a lot of snow, but you get ice. Rain and sleet ALL DAY + below freezing temps at night = giant skating rink. And ice on trees = broken limbs = downed power lines. Ugh.
So we got the rain/sleet today & now it’s currently 34 @ 11pm with wind chill of 26. Brrrr. So here’s hoping we have power in the morning!
Anyway, I had my huge picture post all written up, and I was just going through adding the watermarks on my images when LiveWriter burped. I think it was the fact that I had 72 pictures in one post.
Just kidding!!
There were only 68.
I was able to save a draft (thank goodness for drafts!!), but let’s face it, I’m too lazy to finish working on it now.
So here’s another sneak peek at our super fun walk through the park / photoshoot.
Canon 5d (rental)
focal length: 85mm
ISO 100
shutter speed: 1/640
processed: Lightroom w/ my own preset
Will try to get the rest up tomorrow … that is, if we have power.

I just got an 85 mm, and I’m still learning it! I have a tendency to only reach for my 50mm.
We only got snow for an hour. The entire rest of the day was sleet :( Not fun! But my husband made it home okay, despite getting stuck behind many accidents!
Can’t wait to see more pics!

When I read your blog entry and the description of the weather, I thought “Hmmm.. sounds EXACTLY like the weather I had.” Then I realized you are in Simpsonville. I’m in Greenville so it all makes sense. So glad the ice melted today!

We tend to get lots of ice instead of snow as well. No fun and SCARY!! Stay safe!!
