curing cabin fever

After a week of sitting inside, barfing a lot, spending entirely too much time watching tv and playing Candyland, we headed to the playground this afternoon.

Oh, it was good. So good. Good for her, good for me, good for our physical and mental health.

We drank in the warm sun … got our daily allowance of vitamin d …

and felt the cool crisp air on our faces.

Emma went down the slides about 748 times – feet first, head first. Didn’t matter to her. It was a “wheeee!” experience every time.

It’s amazing to me that even though she has been to this playground about four million times, she still runs around with a gleam in her eyes and squeals of glee at every step.

It’s a lesson, isn’t it? We should try to live life through the eyes of a toddler. Always  treat everything and enjoy it as if it’s your first time.

Oh yes, I think we need to do this more often.

Way more often.

O Keli, this is delightful. I am so glad that you girls had a great day outside! :) I think it’s important to have days like this… and I love all the photos you took.
Kids are amazing, aren’t they. They are so open and full of spirit. I agree, that we should all “experience” the way they do. :) That’s what living life is REALLY about :)

Great Blog!

We so need to go to our park. It is just that it is burried under inches of snow… And you will not even believe this, they are saying more is coming on Monday. I love that she is so delighted and excited about life. She is precious!

Hey, I’m sorry you’ve been so sick. You know I’ve been there. It’s the worst, worst, worst. Seriously, I would rather skip ahead and go through natural childbirth again than go through 23 weeks of nausea! I’m glad you guys got out and had some fun! Did you get my voicemail from last week?

I am so glad you got to experience the amazing weather! We had beautiful weather too! I’m trying to live through my toddler’s eyes as well. The world is so much more amazing.
