I don’t do new year’s resolutions, but one of the things that I said I would try to do on a daily basis in 2011 is to … drumroll please … get dressed.
Dude. I love pajamas. I love slippers. I love not wearing jeans.
But I have found that if I actually get dressed in the morning, then I get things done. Usually. Okay, so getting dressed doesn’t have magical powers, but it does help me feel guilty when I don’t do anything.
So I decided to link up with the pleated poppy’s weekly what I wore wednesday linky as incentive to actually keep up with it. I totally forgot to start on Jan 1, so this is just Mon, Tues and Wed of this week, but I am going to do my best to do this every day. And it can always act as my 365 picture if I’m in a bind. *wink*

here are a couple of things you should know about me …
I love old navy because I am cheap cheap cheap. I used to spend a ton of money on work clothes when I actually went into an office, but now? I stay home with a 3-year old and a 4-month old – they don’t care. And did I mention … I’m cheap!?
but I will spend good money on shoes.
I am nursing, so I dress appropriately. ‘nuff said.

Your outfits are so cute. I love the sweater from Old Navy. I was hastily scrolling down so I could see where it was from. I am a sweater/cardigan junkie. I also ALWAYS love looking at your shoes! :) Ok…I’m embarrassing myself…
Lookin’ good! Shoes…uhm ya…big downfall.

I just had to stop by from the Pleated Poppy when I saw the title of your blog. Very clever! I like your outfits. I so remember being in the nursing phase and how all of my outfits revolved around that or if I could nurse or pump (while I was at work) in what I was wearing. I have to admit that I don’t miss those days even though it was all worth it :) I also love Old Navy. I can’t pass up a good deal and I love a great bargain. I need a pair of new trouser jeans. I’ll have to check out Old Navy.

If you were any cuter ….
I can’t think of what I would do.
Drive over to your house?
I wear the same thing almost every day.
I have given up hope. I am in the depths of despair.
The fat depths of despair.

i love your second outfit! you look great by the way! can’t even tell you just had a baby.
Keli this was brilliant! You just reminded me – shop online for CHEAP CLOTHES! Super cheap now that its post-holiday sale time! I just dropped $150 on two pairs of Old Navy skinnies, a sweater, a belt, a jacket, a sweater dress, and a pair of ballet flats! THANK YOU for the inspiration! I am totally psyched for new CHEAP clothes that are coming my way in 7-10 days and I didn’t even have to go into the store!

What a cute idea….unfortunately for me you would see the same stuff over and over again. You look fantastic – have fun with this….I love the idea of a year end collage.
Love outfit number two. The layering looks great and love your t-shoes.
I love PJ’s too and wish they were socially acceptable to wear anywhere :)

Oh, this is fun! You’re so cute, too. I struggle to get dressed on the weekends. It’s so hard because I have to dress up four days of the week (Friday is casual), so on Saturday, all I want to do is wear pjs… but I also know I’m far more productive if I have on real clothes.
I’ll admit it.. I love your style. Absolutely love it.
I’d be way too ashamed to do this because..well…I wear the same jeans for days in a row.

This is so fun. I need to participate in this – for several reasons – ha! I love that you cuffed your same jeans. I need to do that too especially since I’m short and many times they are WAY too long. That last outfit is my fave just because I love your layers. You’re adorable! :)

I love this! Getting dressed everyday should be my New Year’s resolution, too — sometimes it seems like the hardest thing to accomplish, but when I do (especially before lunch time), everything else seems so much easier. I give myself extra points for getting my makeup on, too. (Also, I love your shoes. :) )

Girl – you can rock the skinny jean!
And I am off to Old Navy to find that sweater.
How long ago did you get that WM skirt? Love layering pants/jeans under skirts and dresses like that! You look great and ITA that getting dressed in the *morning* helps make for a more productive day. (says the mama still in yoga pants haha)
I, too, am a major Old Navy shopper (read: cheap cheap cheap). DH’s cousin, who is several years younger and light years ahead of me when it comes to fashion, asked me where I get all my sweaters because she loves them. *ahem* Old Navy. #awesome
But more than anything, I am severely depressed that the sweater in the very top photo is a maternity sweater. That wouldn’t fit me now and I’m not even pregnant. {SOB!}

I’m the same way, cheap with clothes but will splurge* on shoes.
*I don’t actually spend a lot of money on shoes. What I do is watch for major clearance sales at places like DSW, Kohl’s or online. The last two pairs of shoes I bought were 75% off.
When my son was little I had the same problem… if I didn’t get us out of our pjs every morning then nothing got done. We made it a rule to get dressed and brush teeth before we went downstairs in the a.m. This was one of the best things I ever did! It has come in handy now that he is in school. Of course we have those occasional lazy days where we stay home and in pjs, but at least I know those are two things that I don’t have to fuss about while trying to get out the door for school. BTW, I love your style.
I think my fave part of your pics is the walmart skirt! :-) but i’m too fashion dull to think about putting it over jeans (oh, and a bit too heavy, ahem, you put other moms of new babies to shame in that body!)
You are too freakin cute. And this is a great example of the fact that you don’t need money to dress adorably! And I’m so cheap too. I love the clearance racks at Walmart and Target. They are the bestest!
