I don’t know why I sign up to do photo projects. Honestly, I don’t know why I sign up to do anything that requires me to do something on a regular basis. Because I’m just bad at it.
Believe it or not, I have actually been keeping up with my project 365. Yes, really! I don’t know how many days in we are, now … it’s on my desk calendar downstairs, and I’m not about to get out of the bed to go find that out.
But, while I have kept up with taking pictures every day, I have NOT kept up with uploading them. I started off the year getting a Tumblr account thinking that I would just upload straight from my phone, but I think I lasted all of about a week over there. So then I used my Flickr to start a 365 set, but I fall behind there, as well. So then I created a Facebook album, because I keep pictures of the girls “friends and family only” on Flickr … and … well, that poor album has met the same fate of all of my other albums.
All of that to say, if you want to see every single picture I’ve taken for this year’s project 365, you’re out of luck. But I’m working on it.
I’m also going to TRY to post a weekly update here every weekend. I say “try” because … well, the whole point of this post is to tell you how horrible I am at doing regular things. But it’s the thought that counts, yes?

I have the same problem you do. I take the pictures…I just can’t seem to get them uploaded. To flickr, blog, Tumblr, facebook….anywhere. I need to catch up…I am stuck back in March. Mid march.
I am so jealous of your gorgeous trees! I LOVE our new house, but we don’t have any trees or flowers at all. I miss all of the color.
Your week in pictures is just beautiful! I love it! Especially your naked baby. She is too cute for words!

I do Becky Higgins’ Project Life and I frakking LOVE IT. Soooooo much.

And here’s a link to Ali Edwards’ Project Life: http://aliedwards.com/projects/365-project-life
I try to take a photo every day, but I don’t beat myself up if I miss a day because I look at it like a snapshot of the whole week. Ali is even more loosey-goosey about the photo-a-day and more of the focus on the week as a whole.
I have an inexpensive Epson 4×6 photo printer and I think this project would be hard for me without it because I’m not great about uploading and getting photos printed. I love this way, though, because it includes space for other little bits and pieces of ephemera that represent the day/week/my life. Receipts for grocery store trips that document all the weird crap I’m eating now that I’m pregnant, tags for stuff I’ve bought (Converse shoes and fancy new underwear that’s comfy now that I’m pregnant, most recently), handwritten cards to note what we did or what the photo is about or whatever. I upload photos to my computer, edit them, and print them every few days or once a week or so. I loooove having this simple and easy documentation. Anyway, not trying to convert you or anything but I seriously love this system so much that I want everyone to know about it! :)

Despite my best intentions, I lost my way with 365 somewhere in the 80s (not only uploading, but plain ol’ taking the pictures), I can so relate! I love the gorgeous light in the tree shot, I sure wish California would get back on the sunshine train!

I always love your pictures! Your girls are ADORABLE! Come to Chicago so I meet (and squoosh) them. :-)
Beautiful shots. I think my favourite one is of Miss Lucy in the kitchen. That is an ADORABLE onesie! <3

You’re doing so good on your uploads…and if you don’t post them all, it’s totally okay. I really love that first image of E’s skirt and leggings. I used your pattern you linked to on here and made my girl a skirt! I need to add the ribbon still though, I bought ribbon but it wasn’t long enough. Still I am proud that it even looks remotely skirt-like, it’s my first sewing project…ever. I want to learn how to make a pocket too. Anyways, love your photos..all of them!

OMG, that box/tote thing between the two car seats! Are you kidding me? Why have I never thought about that? What a brilliant idea. THAT would save the back seat of my car from looking like a dump of toys, wrappers, sippy cups, diapers, wipes and whatever else gets brought into the car. At least I could throw it all in a decorative box and the girls can reach for whatever they need. I’m getting one! ; )
