It was 70 degrees last Wednesday, but our back yard was still a muddy mess, so I sent Emma off to the front porch for some painting.

It took me 30 minutes to find the paints and a brush [we used to have a bunch of brushes - now we have one straggly piece of junk brush that I may have used to dig something out of the garbage disposal], but she didn’t mind … and it was worth it.

Okay, okay. I guess I went a little overboard with the pictures, but she doesn’t get to paint very much with a curious sister who eats everything she touches.

Yeah … I’m talking to YOU, cutie pie.

I’m so jealous that you get to play outside! Gorgeous pictures as always! I’m confused about how you had time to grab the camera and snap pictures of Lucy, but yet the whole fridge isn’t on the kitchen floor. AND, are there tears when the door has to shut? That’s how it happens at our house!

Love seeing the inside of people’s fridges. I’m a weirdo. Love the light in the photos of Emma painting! And I totally want to scoop up Lucy and squish that chubby little cutie pie!

I caught my husband throwing out half a dozen brushes because he didn’t realize you’re supposed to reuse them! Bought some new paint and oversized paper and my 3 year old did a happy dance and painted half a dozen times this past weekend. Paint on Emma! Oh, that Lucy. I love your pics of her in front of the fridge. At least she has a healthy appetite! (I miss those pudgy baby legs!)

I love the splatters on Emma’s picture! It looks like she had a good time soaking up some sunshine. And it is hilarious that Lucy is getting in the fridge. I mean, I know it’s easy for me to think it’s hilarious because I don’t have to herd her away and pick up the mess, but one of these days you will think it’s cute, too ;)

As you said on fb, “feel free to skip if you’ve been shovelling snow” argh! i could only wish i was shovelling snow and not getting drenched in endless rain. such is life on the wet coast!
anyway, this was a welcome bit of sunshine and rainbow colours in my day!
love that little mischievous lucy girl of yours!

The site of Lucy’s little hammy thighs standing up and allowing her to browse the fridge’s contents made my day.
