I Heart Faces is hosting a 1 photo – 31 days photo challenge to swing into Spring! I don’t know about you, but I am READY for spring, and I’m not even located in the colder states – we had one small snow this winter, and that was enough for this warm-natured girl.

I was originally going to do the challenge using my phone and Instagram, but then I remembered that I haven’t taken very many good camera shots lately. And while the iPhone is a great camera for the everyday type shots, I still would like to have the quality of my Canon every once in a while.

So I charged up my battery this morning, propped my camera up on a stack of books, and here we go …….

Day 1 | Me

Today is a good day for ME since it’s also my birthday. I am just so blessed with three amazing kids and a fantastic husband … thirty-five doesn’t get much better than this.

While I have been trying to shoot with my big camera more often these days, I still find myself taking pictures with my iPhone 99% of the time. So I ended up sticking with a photo I took with it using VSCO Cam.
